Simple Ergonomics ?

I have played with snare height and angle, hat placement, throne height and now I'm all messed up. I can't seem to find that "driver's seat" I used to have.

Work on your Moeller technique and make sure that your snare rims are higher than your legs when seated... this is the most important aspect - I've seen guys playing withh a snare super low and they can only get away with it cause they play "french timpani grip"... Another ergonomic thing would be to have your snare at a FLAT level... none of this 45 degree angle bullshit that I see some cats doing.

Anyhow, that's what helped me out majorly!

Well put Chris. Those high angles can be terrible for rimshots, if you have your snare low in the first place. My snare is pretty much horizontal with the ground. Perfect height for my playing.
